Her performance in this indie dramedy has raised expectations of her receiving awards recognition particularly after its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. The plot revolves around Claire starting a relationship with a man (Sam Worthington), whose wife (Anna Kendrick) had committed suicide.
By foregoing cosmetics and utilizing facial prosthetics, the former Friends star, now 45 years old, has earned rave reviews for her performance in a new film, generating speculation about a potential Oscar nomination.
